A morning with a Dragon….

All time favorite Hawaii Critter…… DRAGON MORAY!

Unusual to see them hunting during the day hours, this beast was roaming around snapping at fish. He almost got my camera too but as I’ve mentioned before….. I have cat like speed and reflexes!

Was worth putting the falanges in harm’s way for this shot though:

July Dives Sizzle…..

So many great dives going out these days….

First, big Mahalo to Blade and Anna who have stepped up to act as Dive Ninja’s. These guys ROCK!

Sharks Cove has been a blast with a school of squid hanging in the shallows and some big Ulua in the caves. Jared and his pops Frank got to check it out last week along with Claire from the UK this past week…. gotta love summer time diving on the North Shore (We’ll be up there grilling and diving next Sat the 31st).

Lots going on on the westside too with dives at Makaha Caverns and the Mahi Wreck. Meanwhile, turtles, frogfish and even a few sleepy white tip reef sharks have been joining in the fun here in town. Lastly we got a glimpse of a Monk Seal in Hawaii Kai last week. STOKED!

Can’t stop the Dive Train…. WOOT WOOT!

It has been an amazing few weeks. SO many divers sharing in the adventures too. Lot’s of club dives on the westside and guests joining us from Canada, the UK, and all over the States. We have seen some rare finds too like a male spotted boxfish and a fantastic few longnose hawkfish.

Here are some of the very best from the last 3 weeks of diving. June keeps rollin too so check back for shore dive photos from Oahu’s famous North Shore!

Kaimana Divers partners with Earth Lust!

Aloha Everyone,

Summer is here for sure….. that means as divers we need to pay extra special attention to hydration. Dehydration can do all sorts of nasty stuff to a scuba diver so to keep us primed and ready for our adventures, Kaimana Divers has partnered with Earthlust Water Bottles.

Earthlust uses only the finest quality food grade stainless steel which means no nasty BPA’s. Earthlust will also donate $1 for each person who “fan’s” them on Facebook to clean water initiatives all over the world! (click the link below the photo)

Finally, it looks like our shipment will be coming in soon! Be a part of the solution and pick up yours before your next dive adventure. We will have 1L bottles available soon:

Wanna keep plastic out of the ocean, start today by kicking your water bottle habit. Watch the video below to understand how out of control plastics have become in our seas:

Diving Every Day!

Man what a sweet run we have had lately. Just this past weekend we boarded the boat in Wainae and headed out for a 3 tanker. Lots to see too with black coral and critters galore at Makua Ledge. Off to Stars for a drift dive and then over to Makaha Caverns for fun with turtles.

If you haven’t been out with us on the Westside yet, what are you waiting for….. we’ve got room this Sunday the 30th!

Here are some highlights from the past week. As always, join our group on Facebook by clicking the link below:
