Diving in Hawaii is just one of those experiences that is hard to imagine if you have never done it. So much to think about and so many critters coming in from all angles. This spring has been no exception. Whales breaching, turtles cruising, dolphins spinning and all set against the backdrop of a blue sky and a shining sun.
Man, it’s great to be able to live and dive everyday here on Oahu.
Lot’s of new sightings just this past few weeks and our longtime diver Susanna was fortunate enough to snap this photo of a Flying Gurnard while doing some Oahu scuba diving with the KD crew last week. These critters are super rare and I can only recall about 4 other sightings in the past 8 years. Just goes to show you that you never know who might join you for a dive.
Mahalo Everyone for 6+ Years of diving with Kaimana Divers….

Diving here on Oahu tends to be a bit of an adventure on any given day but we have had some incredible dives lately. Take for example the sound of whales (not uncommon in winter months) but on 3 occasions this month they have been just a few hundred yards from the boat.
Then, last week we dropped in and as I turned around to check on our group a Hawaiian Monk Seal came cruising by. It’s such a thrill to see them swimming and playing in the ocean and it’s certainly a dive I won’t soon forget. Here’s a photo I managed to snap of this 1.5 year old male Kekoa last week
Such a great day to dive in Hawaii! Our morning crew got to dive on the wreck of the YO 257 and what a surprise to be joined by a friendly white tip reef shark. Check it out and let Kaimana Divers arrange your next Oahu scuba diving adventure:
You experienced the emotions and history at Pearl Harbor. You climbed Diamond Head and took in the amazing view. If you were lucky enough, you may have even caught some big waves on the North Shore. What’s left?

I always sleep so well on Thanksgiving night. It’s awesome when you get to go diving with a crew of good kids then next morning in Hawaii. Oahu was shining like a gem this AM with NO WIND AND CALM SEAS. Denise, Kavan and Grant joined me for a fun time scuba diving at Turtle Canyons.
Dropping in with nothing but fins I found the mother load:
It’s been over a year since the Love Gurus here at Kaimana Divers did our first underwater scuba wedding with Robert and Ging. The couple was nice enough to remind me and I was able to wish them a Happy 1st Anniversary:
Love is in the air again here in Hawaii and we’ll be tying the knot underwater in a few short weeks with Alan and Amanda. So stoked to be able to:
A) Dive in Hawaii everyday for 7+ Years!
B) Be an ordained Rev and make this happen for good friends
